Emily E. Harrison
Licensed Professional Counselor, Practice Founder
Trauma Psychotherapist, Certified Grief Counseling Specialist, Certified in Eidetic Systems Therapy & Trauma-Focused CBT
Specialized, compassionate, and trauma-informed therapy designed for healing, resilience, and growth.
You never expected to be here right now. You’re being forced to bear the unbearable, to carry something that feels impossible to carry, and I’m here to tell you: You don’t have to do that alone.
Clients often come to me having tried therapy, leaning on their loved ones, and seeking out other kinds of support, but it’s felt like no one truly understood them. They’re craving warmth, a felt sense of safety, and radical unconditional regard—somewhere all of their emotions, questions, and fears can be freely shared and expressed.
I specialize in acting as a companion on cancer, trauma, or grief journeys. I’ll guide you through all of the things you’re wondering about (Will I always feel like this? Is this normal? When will my suffering end?) toward a place of greater self-compassion, resilience, and emotional stability.
I know firsthand what it is to experience profound loss, both as a three-time cancer survivor and one who grieves for irreplaceable people in my life. It is my great honor to offer a space for adolescents, adults, and couples in immense emotional pain who require a competent therapist to provide immediate support and understanding.
I work collaboratively with clients, incorporating methods such as EMDR, Eidetic Imagery, and attachment theory to help them navigate circumstances beyond their control in order to restore a sense of wholeness and wellbeing.
